Amma, world renowned humanitarian and spiritual leader, affectionately dubbed by press "The Hugging Saint," recipient of the Ghandi-King Award for Nonviolence presented at the United Nations, will visit Coralville, Iowa on July 2-3 during her 2008 North American Tour.
Come meet Amma. All programs are Free and Open to Everyone.
In spite of the recent devastating floods throughout the Midwest, the Iowa program is still scheduled to occur as originally planned. The site for the program, the Marriott Convention Center, was completely surrounded by water, but only the entry carpet got wet, so we will still be at the same hotel.
The rivers have crested, but they have been very slow to subside and some people are still not able to return to their homes. Travel in the area is affected, as some roads are still closed. For the latest information on the roads, contact the Iowa DOT at 866 452 8510 or visit their website at www.511ia.org. Other news of the area can be had at http://www.gazetteonline.com and http://www.coralville.org
